Story is just unbelievable at this point its all over the place.

She goes back in time to save Syn's life...when she gets back there he doesn't remember anything at first then supposedly does. I swear that Cheryl is the most gullible person ever! Especially concerning her sister but anyways. Still dont trust that crazy dude. Jet's no better til later. This series is all over the place. It makes no freaking sense. I get what she is writing thats not it...I just dont understand her thinking how this possibly works cause it really doesnt. Its back and forth. One is psych but he's not...then the other one is psycho then not. Nothing but head games or something. Thats not what we want. We dont wanna have to figure this crap out. LOL.

A Fast-Paced, Well-Written Story!

Kate Cudahy has crafted a wonderful tale with "Hal", a story of a female duelist and how she finds the love of her life in Meracad, a nobleman's daughter. All of which sounds like a simple,straightforward story line but Hal is anything and everything but. From Hal's tumultuous upbringing which is shrouded in secret and Meracad's struggles for independence in an era where women were identified through their husbands and fathers, Hal is an amazing journey of two women who manage to find love with each other and their struggle to keep that love as unexpected events unfold around them.

Kate Cudahy's writing is straightforward and quick and she has mastered the ability of presenting stunning visuals and tension-filled scenes with beautifully executed dialogue and description. Hal is not your average main character. Before you're done with this read, you'll be exasperated with her. And impatient when it comes to her and her impetuous decisions. But one thing you won't be is bored. I highly,highly recommend this story and I'll be keeping an eye out for any future writing by Ms. Cudahy. I have a feeling she's going to be an author to watch when it comes to future well-written LGBT stories.

This is probably my favorite book of 2015 so far

Words cannot express how much I love, loved, LOVED this book! Seriously. Y'know how sometimes when you finish a really good book, you do not want to pick up another because you want to linger in that world just a wee bit longer. And on those rare occasions when you get immersed in a book that is so much better than what you’ve been reading, you just cannot read anything else because you know it won’t compare. For me, that perfectly describes this book.

Characters are well-developed, with plenty of them to love (and hate). And, without giving anything away, there were some surprising moments and I really did not want this story to stop. (I did a more in-depth review at the WorldsEdgeTavern site, where I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)

What's great about this book is that it is an excellent fantasy novel and an excellent lesbian romance novel. It was truly a great read.

The Great Thing About Hal

Honestly one of my favorite books currently.

This book has such a wide ranged of characters and I was surprised that this wasn't more out there.
I was recommended by a friend and I am so grateful for that.
The pace was perfect for me, it wasn't too fast and it wasn't too slow.

Let me just say the most important thing to this was it was NOT predictable. Even with my amazing psychic future reading for books, almost all the things that Kate Cudahy throws at the reader was unpredictable. It was a thrilling ride of a book and I'm planning to buy Hannac (the sequel)

This was a good introduction to a complex subject. The best book I have read in five years!

When I decided to read "Still Falling', a novel by a new independent author, I had my usual average expectations. Boy was I WRONG! "Still Falling has to be one of the best Speculative Fiction novels I have read in the past 5 years. The premise is intriguing with a flawed hero consumed at times by; melancholy, fear, horror, anger, love and determination. I lost myself in the book for 2 days and was saddened when I reached the end.

I have no idea when the next installment will be available, but I wish it was today. I never give 5 stars because I don't believe anyone is perfect but if Amazon had a 10 star system, this book would get 9 out of ten.

Mr. Wilsey, you have a new fan. Your hard work and vision deserves more credit than I know how to give.

I HIGHLY recommend STILL FALLING!!!

Solid character-driven sci-fi tale...

An excellent read! Strong character development centered around the protagonist, Barcus, as he struggles to survive on a strange planet after an unexpected incident destroys his ship, and takes the lives of all others aboard, his only companion initially, an artificial intelligence designed to help him adapt. A good blend of a world set in medieval development, with touches of sci-fi with the AI and other components that Barcus has and/or recovers.

A solid story of survival in a strange land. Well paced. Good adventure, with a touch of mystery as we follow along with Barcus in his search for answers. Looking forward to the continuation of the series!

it's a great read! A unique approach to a SF novel, he blends advanced technology and and a regressive world very well, contrasting the two and maintaining the two story lines and their interactions in an interesting way through the use of the characters. Not sure if this was legit or con? If a con, I purchased this pamphlet and you got me. If legit, you need honest feedback and this is not a story, it's a chapter that has no beginning, middle or end. Very disappointing either way.

SCAM... 26 pages of rambling. Not a real book.

This "book" is 26 pages long. There is no time traveling or time typing in it. The characters talk about their feelings for 26 pages and then it abruptly ends. There is a typo on the back cover of the book which shows what little effort went into putting this farce of a project together. The picture on the cover is the only thing it has going for it. Any positive reviews were undoubtedly left by the author or someone he knows because they are all lies...Totally ridiculous.

wow this book series just keeps getting better and better but you have to read them all to understand where the story is going. Rosette Bolter has done it again. can't wait for book six to come out to see if they will find her baby that she named Grizzly even though it is a dragon shifter baby.

They capture your heart and your imagination. Beautiful curvy Jasmine Whiley has once again found herself in a totally unpleasant and 'unbearable' situation with her dimwitted brother, Dennis. Why in the world she let's him talk her into these things, she'll never know! So when her trip with her brother and his two companions takes a tragic and very dangerous turn, Jasmine realizes that she must sacrifice herself to save her brother - again! But Jasmine soon learns that the restitution demanded may be more than she can pay - or can she? Handsome Thunder Brad is not only a park ranger but also a bear shifter of the Uthuro Tribe. He rules as King along with his sexy cousin, Spike, and they share the same mate as their queen. When Juliet, their queen is viciously murdered, they demand restitution-a new mate! Oh my! Jasmine is instantly attracted and feels magically drawn to both of the werebear kings. But Jasmine soon discovers that her life is in grave danger-again and fears her secret may be revealed. But never fear, Spike and Dennis haven't given up hope and are desperately seeking help to rescue Jasmine. Oh my goodness! Plot twists abound! Will Jasmine be lost to the enemy for good this time? Or will Spike and Thunder Brad be able to rescue her and the Uthuro from the icy palace and the clutches of Arch Baron Gaspar? Will they still want to or is their love lost forever. Oh my goodness gracious! Here we go again! Buckle up, we are in for another bumpy ride. Handsome sexy werebears-check! Beautiful curvy human heroine-check! Heinous villains, danger, suspense and action-check! Fantastic read and great entertainment! I can hardly wait for Part Six! There were a few editing errors and the story is a little disjointed in some chapters hence the four star rating.

So, there seems to be a lot of betrayal going around. I kinda saw Lynette coming since she seems to be a scorned woman or should I say lioness? Crazy bitch is more like it. Anyways, Spike is trying his damnedest to find Jasmine and Dara seems to be the key. Which she does help and shes got a story too. See what I mean? All these freaking characters are related in some way and I just dont like that. It's just weird. If your going to do something like this do a novel not a 6 part series times a gazillion. Its fine if you want certain people to have stories but to intertwine them in every series you do is just off putting. Do novels/books about characters and their stories and HEA's. Breaking it up like this just confuses the heck out of people. Also forewarning people would be good. I would not be so upset if there was a warning in the description saying "In order to make sense and cut down on confusion you should read "this series" first before reading this one. That way people get they should read other stories first to understand it all. Now...I kinda feel like I gotta go back and read all the other stories and its really frustrating and thats not something you want to do to your readers. This series has gotten so many mixed reviews. Mostly bad but some actually liked this. Well...I am almost done with this tragedy. On the plus side the Dragons are freed and Gaspar is eliminated. Thats a plus. lol

Gripping! Strong Characters, and a Great Read.

The reader is thrown into the action straight away, and rarely do you find yourself so emotionally moved for characters that you have just met as in "Hiraeth: a mark". From then on, you follow the main character, Mona, as she is abandoned in a community that is seemingly hostile to her. Intrigue and suspense fill the pages, when you learn of what the community really is all about.

Liz manages to blend Celtic myth of the Mabinogion into a contemporary world in a way that is not "New Age" or awkward. The characters are all well developed and interesting, and the settings are well researched. The story reminds me more of a science fiction than a fantasy book, and there is nothing fluffy about the novel. Indeed it is sometimes hard-hitting and difficult, but these scenes are certainly necessary and not gratuitous.

After reading "a mark", I certainly can't wait to get hold of the next part to find out what happens. The book ends at a point when the storm is brewing, and leaves the reader eager to see the result of the events of the story so far.

A really good read. An action-packed start followed by intrigue as the main character, Mona, begins to learn more about the life she has been born into. It is hard to pin down to a genre - probably fantasy adventure is the nearest I can come up - but its more nuanced than that with its present day setting. The author has created a believable world of ancient Druids surviving in the modern day and on the fringes of Celtic society. Forget about your white robes and hippy stuff - this has warriors, battles, treachery and a community under siege. It is ancient traditions versus modern technology. Its kick-ass heroine has (literally) a killer touch - though she's not always the brightest. The relationship/love story between Mona and Cai is gripping and underpins the narrative - whether it will survive their forced separation is left unresolved in this book! Well worth a read.

I loved reading this! The timeframe within the story is relatively short, however, the development of the characters and their locations blossom tremendously throughout, making you feel that you've lived a lifetime with them. There is action, comedy, suspense, geography, history, Welsh, martial arts, magic, drama, life, death, coming of age, love, and intimacy. In addition, the author does a fine job of describing the scenery. Whether it's a dreary old room, a car, pasture, or some of the magnificent sights around the coast of Britain, I truly felt like I was right there in each place. The reader is drawn in right from the first page, none of this 'oh, once you get into the second chapter it really gets good.' I feel this review does not do the book enough justice. I am counting the days until the release of the second book!

Snarky, with a powerful finish.

The ending of the book tempts me to 5 stars. This was a solid read that finished very strong. It ended satisfyingly enough that I could stop right there, but I have every intention of continuing. The characters are strong, multi-dimensional, and interesting. The main character is delightfully snarky and sarcastic, with a deep (and believable) streak of empathy and compassion. The downsides: the language could be a bit crude (take it or leave it), and the main character spent a lot of time bumbling through challenges by using his demigod-level powers. However, he more than made up for it with his snark and self-aware commentary. And did I mention a powerful finish? Too many fantasy books fizzle at the last. This author did everything right. I am immensely satisfied and entertained.

Ok start, but felt like the author was using two sentences where he could have used one. I also felt like he tried to use too many pop references. About 75% through it was a paragraph instead of a sentence, and by 90% it felt so wordy I didn't care to finish.

I wanted to like this book. I really did. The story was good but the writing and how the author wrote the story was not great. Alot of backtracking. The author would write one scene from one perspective and than write the same exact scene from a different character. And alot of droning on about feelings and all that to be obsessive on explaining a point and giving a complete page when a simple sentence would of been enough. The story idea was really good and had so much potential but the constant back tracking with different characters just put me off. The last 100 pages were less of this and more happened in the last of these pages than the first 500. On top of that, the timeline seemed off. To do some of the stuff they did seemed off. The distance they were talking about one couldn't traverse in the time they said. And the "love" one found so quickly seemed out of place. To fall madly in love in one night and talk about characters relationship like they have been together for years. Put me off. Hopefully the 2nd book is like the last 100 pages and not the first 500.

Good things though is the witty banter from the main character were funny to me. Reminded me a little of Bruce Campbell in Army of Darkness.

The saga of Rhys and Lily takes a turn of deception and betrayal…

With Lily and Rhys confessing their feelings for each other and letting the passion building between them consume them in its fine glory, and now it’s time for trust to take its turn in their relationship.

As the intel regarding the attack behind Rhys seems to become a little more clear, Lily’s past comes up in the quest for finding answers, along with the fact that Lily is the mortal being blackmailed into finding the opening into Dreagan’s guarded land…to find that ultimate weapon being guarded by Con with his life.

I love the way the story progresses, with all cards on the table as Lily’s true identity comes into light. With the Dragon Kings planning a course of action to bring down the pawns in the game to get to the main player in this chess game, Rhys and Lily need to trust each other with their lives, as Lily will be the key player in this plan.

Night’s Blaze, Part 3 (Chapters 21-30), keeps the adrenaline and passion on Dreagan Land going at a fiery speed. You can feel the aura of danger surrounding the Dragons, and the main threat to Lily’s life, should the plan go awry. The anticipation is high on drama and the anti-climax is nail biting.

In Night's Blaze: Part 3 Rhys and Lily acknowledge their attraction to each other both physically and emotionally. I’m always glad to see the Dark Kings face the truth about their feelings. This time Rhys and Lily have the blackmailing by her ex to confront too. I was ready for Rhys and her to get on the same pageso this is a welcome event. The ending of this part does leave a cliffhanger as to Lily’s safety.

The big revelation is the identity of the one who has been pulling the mortal and Dark Fae together against the Dark King Dragons. I don’t want to say more and spoil it for anyone. However, I will say all my questions about Ulrik are answered for now. Not so much for one of my favorite characters, Rhi.

I think I have written this before but if you have not purchased any of the installments of this book. The entire book will be out in a week, buy it then. If you have gotten Parts One and Two, you can’t miss this one now. This has been one of the best of the series.

A bit slow moving and repetitive...

This third installment was a bit slow moving for me. Lots of repetition of information that those of us who've been following the entire series have heard before.
We have a surprise character turn up out of the blue that answers some of the questions we've been having about Ulrik and his intentions. I found that interesting but at the same time... odd.
I liked the bit in the beginning where Rhi is struggling with her dark side and her desire to go to Balladyn. I'm curious to know how their relationship will eventually play out.
I'm not sure why but Night's Blaze isn't clicking with me as much as the previous books in the series... part of the problem for me is that I don't see Dennis as a threat at all. Doesn't take that much planning to knock off one human if you're a dragon king does it??
I don't know... anyway... on to part four!

Going a long way!

A complex story line that has that subtle attribute of revealing more of itself on a second and subsequent reads. A difficult thing to achieve for an author but Mr. French does it well! Surprises come from all angles and characters you know, but don't expect, appear at critical moments. I loved this book and strongly recommend it to others. Truly worth reading. But be warned. It will leave you searching for more of Mr. French's work!

Rather not recommendable

Those are two connected stories set in not so distant future.
The world is falling apart, reach people are evacuating two other planets.
The rest are rioting and powers to be are not hesitating to shoot at them...
Stories look to be incomplete, needing further polishing (in much quantity).
It may be consistent with other stories in series, but as standalone ones they are quite queer.

This book is much shorter than the previous two but content-wise it is just as good! The only things that bothered me were how short the stories were and how the first one is in first person while the second is in third. It was confusing to see first person since the first two books were in third. Not sure why, but this bothered me a lot.

Jordan D. Metzl, MD, is a sports medicine physician at Hospital for Special Surgery, America's premier orthopedic hospital. Voted among New York City's top sports medicine doctors by New York magazine, Dr. Metzl takes care of athletic patients of all ages and lectures and teaches extensively. He lives in New York City.

Hot Damn This Book is Awesome

I’m a life-long runner who is often injured. I live in Texas, don’t make a ton of money as a school teacher, and running keeps me sane. I follow Dr. Metzl through his Inside the Doctor’s Office series on Runner’s World so when I saw this new book I got it right away. It came yesterday and I’m half way through already. What I wasn’t prepared for was the very cool ability to use my smart phone for a virtual consultation on my running questions that supplement the text. Without a doubt this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in a book, and I look at books all day long at my job! If you’re a runner I think this book will just knock your socks off with the great illustrations, quality paper (it feels significant when you hold it), and the revolutionary use of augmented reality. Plus, to be honest, it costs way less than my co-pay and the information is more specific for runners. Dr. Metzl is one of us so he doesn’t think we’re insane. I’d highly recommend this book if you run, augmented reality is the future!

Great Resource for Runners with Injuries

This book is a great resource for runners who’ve had or who currently have injuries. The information is laid out in an easy-to-read format, with sidebars and images to break up the text, along with many detailed images of bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments that help you see what the text is describing. On the cover of Running Strong, beneath the name of the author, Jordan D. Metzl, MD, is, in parentheses, “32 Marathons & 12 Ironmans.” Why is this information so important that it’s featured on the cover of the book? Because runners don’t trust doctors who aren’t runners. At least, most of us don’t. Dr. Jordan Metzl is, it’s evident, a runner. Moreover, he’s a runner who has experienced severe injury (torn ACL), and has not only recovered from the injury but has also kept at bay the resulting arthritis with a strength training program he created called IronStrength. Running Strong is a perfect book for me with lots of pictures. ;) There’s also an app called Blippar that you can download in order to step inside Dr. Metzl’s virtual office and watch a number of helpful videos (there are over 30) that accompany the book. Overall, I think this is a great read as well as a fantastic resource for all runners, young or old, beginners or old-timers, injured or injury-free.

The perfect go-to resource

This is a fantastic go-to resource book for preventing/dealing with injury! I've been injured a few times over the years of running, and I can't tell you how many hours I spent Googling my symptoms, what I should do to get better, etc. This book has it all right there in the pages, which makes it so easy to see what's going on. The book itself is very good quality--the photographs, particularly in the injury section, are very detailed and helpful. The book goes beyond the usual "runner's knee" and "IT Band Syndrome"... all the injuries I have heard of as far as running goes are shown in detail. I found the workout section to be very "do-able". I hate strength training (I know I should do it!) but the workout is something I think I could manage once a week. I'm hopeful that this will help me be injury-free from now on!
